In 1957 Picasso began an extended series of Diego Velazquez’s 1656 painting Las Meninas. Molins reproduced 3 different collaged copies of his copies; one used maps from the National Geographic Magazine, another used images of space from the National Geographic Magazine and the third used the inside of envelopes from bills and bank statements.
